Christopher P. Schlies
Philosophy: To effectively assist clients with business and estate planning at modest cost. To foster dispute resolution at early state of controversy, avoiding costly and consuming litigation when possible. When people need legal advice or intervention, opportunity to help and guide, but important to do so at modest cost.
Since entering into private practice in 1980, attorney Christopher Schlies has covered a variety of practice areas:
- 1980-1990: Small business, collection litigation, misdemeanors, family law, injury cases, construction, real estate, and estate planning
-
1990-2005: Employment litigation, severance, construction, real estate, and small business
- 2005-2010: Small business, real estate, construction, consulting and planning and administration, severance negotiations, labor board, trust and estate planning and administration, probate proceedings and litigation
While Mr. Schlies' practice emphasis has shifted over the years, it has always involved significant small business planning, construction and real estate consulting, trust and estate planning and litigation in all areas. What was once a litigation-centered practice is now a negotiation-centered practice, as successful small business administration has required increased focus.
